It is Well with My Soul (Christian Hymns with Lyrics in Description / Choir) Hillsong Music recorded a version of the hymn after singing a 'version of the old hymn' in church. The song was recorded in Sydney in three days, mixed in England overnight and finally mastered in LA. All proceeds from the recording go to help the Queensland Flood Relief Effort. This version of the song features Darlene Zschech singing solo and an added Bridge written by Reuben Morgan and Ben Fielding. This hymn was written after several traumatic events in Spafford's life. The first was the death of his only son in 1871 at the age of four, shortly followed by the great Chicago Fire which ruined him financially (he had been a successful lawyer). Then in 1873, he had planned to travel to Europe with his family on the SS Ville du Havre, but sent the family ahead while he was delayed on business concerning zoning problems following the Great Chicago Fire. Holy, Holy, Holy - Christian Choir Hymn with Lyrics

Holy, Holy, Holy - Christian Choir Hymn with Lyrics Reginald Heber wrote "Holy, Holy, Holy" while serving as vicar of Hodnet, Shropshire, England. He was the first to compile a hymnal ordering hymns around the church calendar. Wanting to celebrate a triune God, Heber wrote "Holy, Holy, Holy" for Trinity Sunday--a day that reaffirmed the doctrine of the Trinity and was observed eight Sundays after Easter. The hymn was first published in 1826. Years later, John Dykes composed the tune Nicaea especially for Heber's "Holy, Holy, Holy."

A Mighty Fortress is our God  - Christian Hymns with Lyrics (Choir) / Martin Luther The one hymn that most symbolizes the Protestant Reformation is "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God." In it, Martin Luther proclaims his confidence in God and rallies all Christians to war against evil. Basing his words on Psalm 46, he victoriously states "We will not fear, for God has willed His truth to triumph through us." Those persecuted and martyred for their convictions during the Reformation sang these words. Luther understood the power of evil: After he posted his ninety-five theses on the door of Wittenberg's Castle in 1517, he faced years of trials and persecution, he was excommunicated from the Roman church, and he continually faced threats against his life and his freedom. Other reformers had been persecuted and burned at the stake. But he also knew "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in danger" (Psalm 46:1) and so he wrote "A Mighty Fortres...

‘But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.' Revelation 2:4 Dr. David Mackereth became a Christian in 1982 whilst studying medicine at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. He currently works in Accident and Emergency Medicine, but over the years has been able to engage in Gospel preaching ministry. In 2018 he hit the national headlines as the Christian Doctor who refused to use transgender pronouns, whilst working for a government agency. This action got him fired, but he does not regret standing up for the truth. With God’s help, he continues to take a firm stand on this, and other issues.
