The discouraged and weary are prime targets for that unholy trinity of enemies: the world, the flesh, and the devil. The peace with Christ that starts the war with sin will be its fiercest not when you are joyful and at peace, but rather when you are sad, discouraged, weary, and worst of all: when you feel lonely and forsaken by people and by Christ.
